Giving Back

At Linden Hills Florist, we see ourselves as part of our bigger world, doing what we can to make a positive impact on our community and environment. This is what it looks like:

We’re happy being green – this means coordinating our delivery routes, saving time and fuel to reduce our carbon footprint. We compost all qualifying materials from our flower work in biodegradable bags. We recycle! And not only plastic-glass-paper, but we encourage our Brides to donate their extra flowers at the end of their events.

Because we are a local shop, we strive to support and use other local business whenever possible. We have some fantastic local growers who bring us the most interesting and unusual floral products. We also harvest from our own urban garden – it’s a win-win!

And up-cycling –we’ve created some crazy beautiful vases, containers and home accessories from the …. shall we say, left-overs and cast-offs! It’s our newest personal challenge.

We are proud to donate our time and design services at-cost for a number of local charities and non-profits. We have a generous program to support those entites that are near and dear to our hearts.
